Our naturally derived driftwood is highly durable, with each piece having a different shape and a sturdy build. It is suitable for use with reptiles and is resistant to damage and corrosion in arid environments. Adjusting and stabilizing the pH and gH value of the water softens the water quality, making it more suitable for aquatic pets. Minimal tannin, no need for repeated steaming.

Before putting the driftwood into the water, adding a suitable amount of salt or baking soda to boiling hot water and simmering for about an hour can promote the rapid release of tannins. When the driftwood is immersed in hot water, the water will turn yellow. After it cools down, pour out the dirty water and replace it with clean water. Let it sit for a few days, during which the water needs to be changed frequently and the cleanliness observed to ensure that the water in the fish tank is clear after the wood is placed.

Each Purple teak driftwood formed by nature has a unique twisted shape and texture, with no fixed shape (you get may be different from picture shown). These driftwood pieces are carefully selected, have a relatively large weight and density, allowing it to sink directly into water. Before using, boil the large driftwood 2-3 times for 1 hour each time, and then soak it for about 2-3 weeks, during this time will cause the wood to release tannins (which may last for several weeks or longer), darkening the water color. Wait until the tannins are completely released before placing it in the aquarium. For reptiles, it can be used directly without soaking.
